ZETA BETA TAU
Eta Upsilon Chapter

ABOUT US
Our Chapter
Zeta Beta Tau at Santa Clara University began as a group of friends trying to make a difference in the community around them. Our founders saw the potential for greatness in a committed group of men with common goals. This began their quest to cultivate a small group of like-minded and motivated individuals into a fraternal brotherhood.
As the group began their expansion, they searched for a national organization that held the same beliefs and ideals as themselves. After extensively searching for an organization, one above all else stood out: Zeta Beta Tau. ZBT’s aim, as a national organization, is to develop a brotherhood of Intellectual Awareness, Brotherly Love, Social Responsibility, and Integrity. These tenets became the building blocks for the emerging brotherhood.
With the foundation in place, on May. 2, 2015, the group was officially colonized as the Eta Upsilon Colony of Zeta Beta Tau. This colonization was the first step to becoming the chapter that stands today. The group began a rapid expansion at Santa Clara University, not only being one of the fastest growing colonies in Santa Clara’s history, but also in ZBT’s history. This time of rapid expansion brought tremendous success for the colony and ultimately lead to the chartering of the chapter. A little more than a year later, on October. 1, 2016, the colony became the Eta Upsilon Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau.
The Eta Upsilon Chapter at Santa Clara University has transformed in many ways since its’ conception, but the tenets are and will forever be at the foundation of our fraternity. The men of ZBT offer to each other not only a system of community building through philanthropic and social events, but more importantly a support network of brotherhood for a lifetime. Ultimately, our chapter of ZBT hopes to better the world around us by being the change we want to see in the world.
